Be sure to set this dance up correctly. By that I mean to talk to the students about halloween and costumes. I say "If I had on a bunny costume would I be a bunny? No, I'd still be Miss Deanna or if I had on a fish costume would I be a fish? No... etc.. this I say. I have this Halloween dance we can do where you can scare me. Do you want to scare me?? Tell them to say "Boo" to you and you act pretend afraid.. Do this several times and then you say Boo to them (gently) and let them pretend to be afraid. Then you can safely do this dance. I recommend doing this because at the beginning of the dance there is some scary music and children who are musical or affected by music will get this mood and can become afraid.
